Shark Upright Vacuum Provides Powerful Suction

Euro-Pro is the vacuum cleaner company that manufactures the Shark upright vacuum. This brand comes in several styles. One is the Shark Roadster bagless upright vacuum. This machine retails for about $200. It has onboard tools, a reusable HEPA filter, and a 30-foot cord. One of the benefits of this vacuum cleaner is the 15-inch wide cleaning path. The wheels are large for easy maneuvering.

Shark also make the Infinity Upright, which is model number NV30. It has a price of about $200. This bagless vacuum features a unique "24 cyclones" cleaning technology that is patent pending. The blue topaz color of the base and top of this vacuum cleaner is very attractive. The main part of the body, however, is the see-through dirt container.

With the attachments, you can clean items 12 feet away with the Infinity. It also features a headlight and an on/off switch for the brush roll so you can go from one sort of flooring to another easily. It weighs about 20 pounds and has a soft bumper guard so you don't damage your furniture. The cleanable HEPA filter can be replaced for about $16.

Shark also makes the Infinity Upright with a pet care system to simplify life for pet owners. It retails for $249. This model, which comes in an attractive ruby red color, includes a variety of extra tools and features. One amazing feature which doesn't relate to pets (unless you keep birds!) is an almost unheard of 17-foot cleaning reach! It includes a pet hair brush attachment, too.

For those who want something cheaper, there are a couple of lightweight Shark upright vacuum cleaners. One is the Shark Transformer stick-vac, which is model number EP602. It retails for a mere $59. It is said to have more suction than similar products. It cleans an 11 inch path, sending the dirt into an easy-to-empty bottom emptying dust cup.

One convenient feature of the Transformer is that you can remove the telescoping tube and floor portions, and convert it into a hand-held vacuum with its own shoulder strap. The tools are stored conveniently on-board. For $19.99, you can add the Shark Self-Cleaning Motorized Duster attachment, which increases your ability to get the dust off your furniture.

Another model of lightweight Shark upright is Model number EP621, which has a retail price of $69.99. It is similar to the Transformer above, but has a brush roll that has intelligent electronics built-in.

Reviewers have had a few negative things to say about the Shark upright vacuum cleaners. One is that the dirt cups tend to be smaller than those of other brands, which makes emptying them more frequent. The filter needs to be cleaned often, as well, or the machine clogs up. The suction is generally reported to be great, however. Some suggest that you might want to look for one with a larger dust cup if you live in a larger home.
